Cooking in the outdoor kitchen
The stage is set for cozy times on this concrete patio, where the outdoor kitchen has secured its permanent corner, making al fresco cooking a relaxed affair. An outdoor kitchen makes it easy to move food preparation and dining outside during the summer months when the weather permits. Inviting close friends over, the outdoor kitchen becomes the focal point where guests can help chop vegetables, grill, or simply sip wine while the host cooks.
Industrial Steel and Concrete
We visited a beautiful concrete house in Central Jylland, where the homeowners have chosen 90x90 cm Soldier tiles as the base throughout the outdoor area. Much of the patio is covered, and it is here that the kitchen and dining area are set up. Should a summer shower surprise, the kitchen remains dry. In the outdoor kitchen, the combination of steel and concrete evokes an industrial kitchen vibe. The stainless steel kitchen counter particularly enhances the industrial look, and with concrete tiles underneath, the homeowners have created a raw and cool outdoor space.
Informal Table Setting
Grab a plate and sit wherever you like. There are no place cards or assigned seats here. When food is served in the outdoor kitchen, the atmosphere becomes more relaxed, focusing on ambiance over formalities. Blankets are draped over the backs of chairs so guests won't get cold after the sun sets.
Oriental Craftsmanship Brings Life to the Industrial Kitchen
The stainless steel outdoor kitchen is paired with pitchers, trays, and bowls inspired by the Far East. This adds personality and gives the room a playful contrast to the hard materials like steel and concrete
Mix Concrete and Steel Yourself
The Soldier tiles are made from 2-layer concrete, giving them an exceptionally uniform and fine surface. To frame the kitchen area on the terrace, planters and plinths from the IBF Nordic series have been placed. Add your own steel furniture and combine the hard materials with colorful and personal details.
