30-Year Guarantee
IBF Concrete Roof Tile Warranty Terms
The warranty is effective from the time of delivery and covers:
- Original defects and flaws, such as frost damage, that affect the tightness and durability of each roof tile.
- Defects and flaws due to the roof tiles not meeting the current standards for strength and tightness at the time of delivery (According to DS/EN standards 490 and 491).
- Defective tiles due to production errors.
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear – and regarding tightness, the warranty applies only to the individual tile and not to the roof’s overall tightness.
The warranty does not cover:
- Lime efflorescence and saltpeter outbreaks
- Color fading due to light exposure
- Moss, algae, and pest infestations
- Cracks in individual tiles due to external influences, traffic on the roof, or similar.
Conditions and Complaints
It is a prerequisite that IBF's current installation instructions are followed, that the roof is correctly installed by craftsmen, and that normal maintenance has been performed.
Scope of Coverage
Complaints 0-10 years: For complaints within 10 years after the product is delivered by IBF and if the coverage conditions are met, IBF will provide new materials for the replacement of defective roof tiles, as well as labor costs associated with the replacement. IBF reserves the right to appoint contractors for the replacement. If IBF cannot provide materials for the replacement of defective roof tiles due to, for example, lack of production, a voucher for the purchase of new roof tiles at IBF equivalent to the invoice price on the delivery date is issued, as well as a cash amount estimated by IBF for the labor costs for the replacement.
Complaints 11-30 years: For complaints after 10 years from the delivery date from IBF, but before 30 years from the delivery date from IBF, and if the above conditions are met, IBF provides compensation equivalent to IBF's invoice price of the product on the delivery date from IBF. The invoice price is depreciated linearly at 5% per year. The depreciation is calculated from the 11th year from the delivery date from IBF. Compensation is paid in the form of a voucher for the purchase of new roof tiles at IBF.
Damage reports must be made by written complaint to IBF, which will conduct an inspection within a month.
