Over time, IBF has launched a wide range of standalone sustainable initiatives that constitues part of the business foundation of the group. These initiatives are moving us in a more sustainable direction. In the future, we expect sustainability to become an integrated part of our business strategy, development, and production.

> 2030-goals

Towards 2030, IBF will work dedicatedly to reduce CO2 emissions throughout the business.

50% CO2-REDUCTION IN SCOPE 1 AND 2

Through investments in heat pumps, solar panels, energy optimization in production, replacement of parts of the vehicle fleet, and biofuels, we will reduce CO2 emissions by 50% in scope 1 and 2 by the end of 2030.

70% CO2-REDUCTION IN SCOPE 3

Through new types of raw materials, new products, new recipes, and less transportation of raw materials, we aim to reduce CO2 emissions by 70% in scope 3 by the end of 2030.

*Scope 1, 2 and 3 are concepts used in carbon accounting. Scope 1 covers CO2 emissions from the company's own production, processes, and transport. Scope 2 refers to CO2 emissions from heating and electricity. Scope 3 covers CO2 emissions in the company's value chain, for example, from the extraction and processing af raw materials, transportation by external hauliers, etc.
