Permeable Paving Now Available for Private Driveways
It’s no secret that we will experience more rainfall in the future. This is a challenge that private homeowners must consider when planning new paving.
With IBF Permeable Paving, driveway flooding is avoided. The technology is simple: by using the IBF Perma-Drain® Home system, rainwater is managed where it falls. The water seeps into the ground, thereby avoid straining the existing rainwater system.
If your customer is considering this solution, there are some practical details/information that need to be addressed before getting started.
How Your Customer Can Get Started
The customer should contact the technical administration to inquire about the following:
> Can and is it allowed to infiltrate water on their own property?
> Has the municipality defined a 5, 10, or 100-year rainfall event?
> Is there an opportunity for a refund of the rainwater connection fee if water is infiltrated on their own property?
Once the answers to the above are known, you as the contractor/landscaper can be contacted.
Choice of Package Solution
IBF Perma-Drain® Home is a complete package consisting of DrænStabil® base layer and DrænAf® leveling layer, along with a paving product. Choices include:
> IBF Tiles 30x30x8 cm, with 2 cm joint crosses provided.
> IBF Tiles 30x60x8 cm, with 2 cm joint crosses provided.
> SF-Rima® 21x21x8 cm paving stones, where spacers are not necessary.
All paving products are available in grey. This solution is offered for orders of at least 100 sqm.
