When faced with the choice between a traditional pavement and a permeable pavement, it's natural to ask: What does it cost?
A permeable base construction is generally more expensive to establish than a traditional base with stabilizing gravel/crushed concrete. However, this does not mean that it is more expensive in the long run. We must address the increasing rainfall, as we will continue to experience more precipitation in the future. In fact, it is said that we might face a 100-year event every year. This means that we will see more areas submerged in water. Once the damage occurs, it becomes much more expensive to rectify.
A complete permeable solution from IBF may often be the right choice, economically as well, as shown in the following table.
