> The ESG department ensures focus
IBF aims to be at the forefront of development, so we can meet the increasing demands from authorities and customers regarding sustainable development, documentation, and reporting. Therefore, we have established an ESG department that helps create an overview and coordinate efforts within ESG across the entire group. In addition to working with strategy, policies, action plans, and the implementation of specific initiatives, the ESG department also assists customers who have questions about sustainability and ESG. We are all on the same journey towards a more sustainable future, and it's important that we help each other to achieve our ambitions.
> Supplier management with Code of Conduct
Suppliers are particularly important when it comes to sustainability because most of the environmental impacts of our products originate from the extraction and processing of raw materials. Therefore, we have an enhanced collaboration with our regular suppliers to ensure that they focus on reducing CO2 emissions from their production and processes, and that they work to minimize environmental impacts. Employee relations, human rights, and good business practices are also topics we discuss with suppliers. Most of IBF's regular suppliers are Danish companies, which provides good opportunities for close dialogue. We have issued our Supplier Code of Conduct to more than 130 suppliers.
> Whistleblowersystem provides security
In 2023, IBF established an internal whistleblower system that ensures employees can safely report any irregularities, illegal activities, or questionable ethical behavior within the company. The whistleblower system is an important mechanism that helps us ensure we are running a responsible business with high ethical standards. The system means employees can always report their experiences without fear of retaliation or negative consequences. This can lead to the early detection af errors, corruption, or other critical issues, and it helps us take proactive steps to address these challenges before they escalate.
> Internal policies ensure structured boundaries
Structured boundaries make it much easier to navigate daily life. Therefore, IBF has developed a series of clear policies and guidelines for our employees, making it easy to understand the internal rules for working at IBF. In addition to specifying what our employees can and cannot do, the policies also ensure that employees understand their rights and options. Our HR department is also always ready to assist employees who have questions about the rules and guidelines.
