IBF Admire the Craftsmanship...
IBF wants to celebrate the craftsman and the craft; if anyone deserves a pat on the back, it's the skilled craftsmen who work hard for the Danish construction industry. We have great respect for the high work ethic and professional pride that craftsmen bring to the building industry throughout the year - we simply have to admire the work of the craftsman.
> With the theme “We admire the work of the craftsmanship,” we aim to spotlight a profession that is unfortunately being overlooked by the youth today.
Only one in five young Danes* choose a vocational education. This means that in the future, we will seriously lack skilled professionals. We want to highlight the importance of these trades and share their success stories. The satisfaction of aligning a timeline and a construction project perfectly—and being proud to use one’s hands. Disciplines that contribute to growth and skilled individuals for the future.

> IBF Awards
In our efforts to celebrate craftsmen, we regularly present awards in collaboration with schools to students who have made a special difference. The students receive a fine diploma and, of course, a pat on the shoulder — to go with it…
IBF Professionalism Award
Goes to the student who demonstrates exceptional professional pride in both theoretical and practical tasks during their education.
IBF Personal Development Award
Awarded to the student who has shown significant personal and professional development.
IBF Work Environment Award
Given to the student who has a particular focus on the work environment area - and on promoting professional expression.
IBF Comradeship Award
Awarded to the student who, besides being professionally competent, is also a great teammate. Someone who naturally takes on the role of helping everyone on the team.
> DM in Skills
The DM in Skills competition helps to highlight the many vocational educations and expands particularly the perspective of primary school students with alternatives to the academic upper secondary education.
During the championships, which are open and free for all, the passion for quality craftsmanship and the pride in being able to use one’s hands are clearly felt.
It is crucial to convey this message to young people who are about to choose their education. Therefore, IBF supports DM in Skills and acts as a material sponsor for the championships.
